1921 Canadian Census District Maps

Contemporary maps of the census districts have been lost or destroyed. However, there was no entry for royalton under the heading towns, nor was there a breakdown by sex. In addition, the names listed on the population schedules are linked to actual images from the 1921 census.

This data set reconstructs the census compilation and dissemination geography of the 1921 canadian census at the census division (cd) and census subdivision level of geography. Census districts usually corresponded to electoral districts and the census subdistricts to parochial, civil or political subdivisions. The census count was taken as at 1 june 1921.

The country was divided into 192 census districts and 2,139 census subdistricts.
